Learn how to match GTX pods and coils to your GTX Go 80 or GTX Go 40, fill without mess, and adjust airflow for a smoother first session.
Start with the right pod and coil for your GTX Go model
The GTX Go 80 and GTX Go 40 share a magnetic pod system and top-filling design, but they differ in battery, size, and the coil that comes in the box. Before you fill or fire, confirm which model you have and use the matching pod and coil combination. The GTX Go 80 kit includes the 5ml GTX Pod 26 and a 0.2Ω MESH coil rated 45–60W. The GTX Go 40 kit includes the 3.5ml GTX Pod 22 and a 0.6Ω MESH coil rated 20–30W. Both devices support the full GTX coil series, so you can swap coils later, but start with the supplied coil to keep your first setup predictable.
GTX Go 80 vs GTX Go 40 at a glance
- GTX Go 80|40: GTX Go 80: 3000mAh built-in battery, 80W max output, 5ml pod capacity, 0.2Ω MESH coil (45–60W). Larger battery and pod mean fewer refills and longer sessions, but the higher-wattage coil draws more power.

GTX Go 80|40 - GTX Go 80|40: GTX Go 40: 1500mAh built-in battery, 3.5ml pod capacity, 0.6Ω MESH coil (20–30W). A smaller, lighter pen that suits shorter sessions and lower power, with more frequent refills.
Fill the pod without the mess
Both GTX Go pods use a top-filling system and SSS Leak Resistant Technology. The steps below apply to either pod; work over a sink or paper towel in case of drips.
- Remove the pod from the battery: The pod attaches magnetically, so pull it straight up to separate it from the battery.
- Open the top-fill port: Lift or slide the top cap to expose the fill hole. The exact motion depends on the pod version; use the supplied user manual for your kit if the cap does not move easily.
- Fill slowly with e-liquid: Insert the bottle tip into the fill hole and squeeze gently. Avoid overfilling; leave a small air gap to help the pod wick properly.
- Close the cap firmly: Press the top cap back into place until it clicks or seats flush. A loose cap can cause leaks.
- Wait before vaping: Let the pod sit upright for a few minutes so the coil can absorb e-liquid. This is especially important with a new coil.
Match the coil to your device and wattage
The GTX Go 80 and GTX Go 40 are not adjustable-wattage mods in the traditional sense; their output is tied to the coil resistance and battery level. The supplied coils give you a clear starting point: the 0.2Ω MESH coil is rated 45–60W and belongs with the GTX Go 80, while the 0.6Ω MESH coil is rated 20–30W and belongs with the GTX Go 40. Using the 0.6Ω coil on the GTX Go 80 or the 0.2Ω coil on the GTX Go 40 is not recommended because the device may not deliver the coil’s intended power range. If you want to try other GTX coils, check the coil’s recommended wattage against your device’s maximum output and battery capability. The GTX Go 80 supports the entire GTX coil series, including an RBA finish, but higher-wattage coils will drain the battery faster.
Adjust airflow for a tighter or looser draw
Both GTX Go models have easily adjustable airflow. The airflow control is typically a ring or slider near the pod base. Turn or slide it to open or close the air inlets. A tighter airflow concentrates flavor and suits mouth-to-lung style, while a more open airflow produces larger clouds and a looser draw. Start fully open, then close it down gradually until the draw feels comfortable. If you hear a gurgling sound or get e-liquid in your mouth, close the airflow slightly and check that the pod is not overfilled.
Replace the coil when flavor drops or hits turn harsh
Coil life depends on e-liquid, wattage, and how often you vape. Replace the coil when you notice a burnt taste, weak flavor, or reduced vapor production. The GTX Go pods accept push-fit GTX coils; no tools are required.
- Remove the pod and empty any remaining e-liquid: Unscrew or pull the old coil out of the pod base. Set the pod aside on a clean surface.
- Prime the new coil: Put a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton of the new coil. This helps avoid a dry hit on the first puff.
- Install the coil and reassemble: Push the new coil firmly into the pod base, then refill the pod and let it stand for a few minutes before vaping.
Quick checks before your first puff
- Pod is seated: The magnetic connection should hold the pod securely with no wobble.
- Fill cap is closed: A flush, clicked cap prevents leaks and spitback.
- Coil is primed: A few minutes of soaking prevents a burnt first hit.
- Airflow is set: Start open and adjust to your preference.
Kit contents and charging
- GTX Go 80|40: GTX Go 80 kit includes: 1 x GTX Go 80 battery, 1 x GTX 0.2Ω MESH coil, 1 x Type-C USB cable, user manual, warranty card. GTX Go 40 kit includes: 1 x GTX Go 40 battery, 1 x GTX 0.6Ω MESH coil, Type-C cable, manual, warranty card. Knowing what is in the box helps you avoid buying duplicate accessories and confirms the included coil.
- GTX Go 80|40: GTX Go 80 charges via Type-C at DC 5V/2A; GTX Go 40 charges via Type-C at DC 5V/1A. The GTX Go 80 can charge faster with a compatible 2A charger, while the GTX Go 40 charges at a lower rate.
